The Collegiate Recovery Program will host recovery meetings this semester: Alcoholics Anonymous at 6:30 p.m. Mondays, SMART Recovery at noon Tuesdays, Narcotics Anonymous at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and noon Fridays, Tobacco Intervention at noon Wednesdays and the Al-Anon Family Group at noon Thursdays. Treble Thrivers Audition
The Treble Thrivers will host auditions from noon to 2 p.m. in the Community Engagement and Student Success Building in Edinburg. Auditions will continue at the same time and place Wednesday, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the same place.

Psychologist Andy Keller, president and chief executive officer of the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, will give a lecture from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the Student Union’s Theater on the Edinburg campus. Guest violinist Peter Isaacson will join Music Lecturer II Tido Janssen on cello and Music Lecturer I Stacy Kwak on piano, as they play works by Glière, Fauré, Piazzolla, and Café Music by Paul Schoenfield at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Complex Auditorium on the Edinburg campus. Film Festival workshop
The City of Edinburg will host a workshop for the 2018 South Texas International Film Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library, located at 1906 S. Closner Blvd. The workshop series is titled “From Ideas to Screenplay.” Theater Lecturer I Lawrence Gise will focus on “How Ideas are Conceived: Creating Your Reality on Screen” and Theater Lecturer I David Carren will present on “Sky High Concepts: Striking Ideas Make Exciting Movies.” Attendees are encouraged to bring note-taking materials such as laptops and notebooks.
