Guest violinist Peter Isaacson will join Music Lecturer II Tido Janssen on cello and Music Lecturer I Stacy Kwak on piano, as they play works by Glière, Fauré, Piazzolla and Café Music by Paul Schoenfield at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Complex Auditorium on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.
Recovery Meetings
The Collegiate Recovery Program will host recovery meetings this semester: Alcoholics Anonymous at 6:30 p.m. Mondays, SMART Recovery at noon Tuesdays, Narcotics Anonymous at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and noon Fridays, Tobacco Intervention at noon on Wednesdays, and the Al-Anon Family Group at noon Thursdays. Workshop: Prepping Proposals
Engaged Scholarship and Learning will host a workshop from 12:10 to 1:20 p.m. in Mathematics and General Classroom building 1.208 on the Edinburg campus and Life and Health Sciences Building 1.702 on the Brownsville campus. It will discuss how to prepare a proposal for funding, information on requirements to apply for the Engaged Scholar Award, and other outside resources for funding research and creative work projects. Science and Engineering Fair
UTRGV will host the 58th annual RGV Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Students will check in and set up their projects from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Garza Gymnasium, PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salón and Jacob Brown Auditorium on the Brownsville campus. Judging of 700 projects created by middle and high school students will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the listed locations for a chance to advance to state and international competitions. A public viewing of the projects will be from 4 to 5 p.m. that same day and locations. The awards ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Jacob Brown Auditorium. For more information, call 882-5058.
