Texas Hold’em Tournament
The Student Union will host a Texas Hold’em tournament at noon in the game room on the Brownsville campus. Students can play for free and get a chance to earn VBucks. For more information, call 665-7890.

Student Involvement Fairs
The Office of Leadership and Mentoring will host involvement fairs from noon to 1 p.m. on the Main Courtyard in the Brownsville campus. On the Edinburg campus, the event will take place at the same time Thursday on the Chapel Lawn. For more information, call 882-5111.

Back to School Bash
Back to School Bash is the signature event for Week of Welcome and will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Chapel Lawn on the Edinburg
campus. Free carnival rides, games and s’mores are available during the event with a valid student ID. Attendees can purchase their favorite carnival snacks at the event. For more information, email studentactivities@utrgv.edu.

National Cake Day
The Student Union will serve chocolate cake at noon in the Student Union Commons on the Edinburg campus. On the Brownsville campus, the event will take place at the same time in the Student Union’s La Sala. For more information, call 665-7890.
