Selena Week
The Campus Activities Board will host a contest in celebration of Selena Week. Share and tag @UTRGVCAB on Instagram in any of the following: dance or lip sync your favorite Selena song, upload a picture of you dressed like the Tejano star or create a portrait of her (any media allowed). Submit by 3 p.m. April 16. Participants have a chance to win a Nintendo Switch Lite.
Reshoot
The Student Union is hosting UTRGV Recreate. Use what you have to re-create your favorite UTRGV pic. Check out their Facebook page for ideas. Submit through their social media or studentunion@utrgv.edu by 12:30 p.m. April 16.
Admiration Post
Student Activities is accepting Selena-inspired pictures or TikTok through noon April 17. Participants may submit entries through the student activities Instagram, @utrgvstudentactivities, or email studentactivities@utrgv.edu. The fan favorite will receive a free pizza.

Telephone Town Hall
U.S. Rep. Filemon Vela (D-Texas) will host a Telephone Town Hall at 10 a.m. to get the latest updates on COVID-19, including topics on public health and employment, and small business benefits. Speakers include Dr. Joseph McCormick, of the University of Texas School of Public Health; Julian Alvarez, of the Texas Workforce Commision; Angela Burton, of the U.S. the Small Business Administration; and Homero Martinez, of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Recovery Ally Training
The UTRGV Collegiate Recovery Program will host a Recovery Ally Training. Learn about alcohol and drug addiction and skills to effectively support UTRGV students in recovery.
