Graduation Application Deadline
Students who are set to graduate this summer must submit their application by Feb. 1. Students who will graduate in

Piano performance
Mark Fouxman, a concert pianist, teacher, inventor and owner/chief designer of a microphone production company, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus and Wednesday in the Texas Southmost College Arts Center in Brownsville. Seeking volunteers
The City of Brownsville, in collaboration with the Cameron County Homeless Coalition, local nonprofit organizations and businesses, is seeking volunteers for the Point-in-Time count on Thursday. The Point-in-Time count is a survey of homeless persons on a single night in January, conducted to identify the number of homeless individuals in the community and provide resources to assist them. Community health fair
Doctors Hospital at Renaissance will host its 10th annual DHR Community Health Fair from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, 118 Paseo del Prado. The fair will provide free health screenings for cholesterol, vision, glucose and blood pressure, as well as medical information and education. For more information, call 388-8204.
Sigma Tau Delta info sessions
The Sigma Tau Delta-International English Honors Society will host an information session at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in ARHU 185 on the Edinburg campus. The session is open to all majors. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, email christine.severn01@utrgv.edu.
Blue ribbon 5k run/walk
The American Marketing Association-Edinburg will host aBlue Ribbon 5K run/walk at 8 a.m. Feb.20 at the Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 S. Raul Longoria Rd. AMA-Edinburg has teamed up with the RGV Diabetes Association to raise awareness of this disease as it continues to grow in the lower region of South Texas. All proceeds will go to the RGV Diabetes Association. Early registration is $20 for adults, $25 for an adult with a child and $10 for children between the ages of 13 and 17.
