Madness Dance and Lip Sync Contest

United Union
The Student Union will host United Union from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Union East Patio on the Edinburg campus and at the Student Union veranda on the Brownsville campus to celebrate National Coming Out Day. The event will provide education, advocacy and resources for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Bible Study

K.I.S.S. Meeting
The Korean International Student Society will conduct a general meeting from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today and 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Education Complex 2.102 on the Edinburg campus. Turning Point USA
Turning Point USA at UTRGV, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that educates and organizes students on the benefits of freedom, fiscal responsibility and small government, will conduct an informational session from 12:30 to 3 p.m. in the Student Union on the Edinburg campus. They will distribute stickers, posters and buttons from the national organization.
Risk Management
Caring for the Valley, an organization that provides medical outreach to underserved populations throughout the Rio Grande Valley, will host an informational session from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. online to discuss the risk management for the year. RSVP is available on V Link.
Thriving Study Halls
The Women in STEM Programs organization will host a virtual study hall from 3:30 to 5 p.m. via Zoom. Assignment assistance and studying motivation may be provided. RSVP is available on V Link.
Piano Concert
School of Music Assistant Professor and pianist Kenneth Saxon will present music inspired by the great out-of-doors at 7 p.m. in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Complex in Brownsville. Admission is free.

Billiards Tournament
The Student Union will host a billiards tournament from noon to 1 p.m. in the Game Room on the Edinburg campus and at the same time Wednesday in the Game Room on the Brownsville campus.

Bottesini Anniversary Concert
The Patron of the Arts program will host an academic double bass studio recital focusing on the works of Italian composer, conductor and double bass virtuoso Giovanni Bottesini at 7 p.m. in the UTRGV Library Auditorium on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.

LGBT+ History Month

‘La Apuesta’ Auditions
The Latino Theatre Initiatives will conduct auditions for the shepherds’ play, or pastorela, “La Apuesta,” by Hugo R. Gómez, at 2 p.m. in Liberal Arts Building South Room 185 and at the same time Thursday. Actors must be fluent in Spanish. Depression Screening Day
The UTRGV Counseling Center will conduct a Depression Screening Day from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom. One of the clinical therapists will take participants to a private virtual breakout room for a 10-minute discussion on mood and brief assessment.
