Earlier today, UT Health RGV announced that it will distribute boosters of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday and Wednesday at the Community Engagement and Student Success Building, Room 1.300, in Edinburg and at the Clinical Education Building, Room 1.203, in Harlingen to those eligible.
Those eligible include anyone age 65 and older who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago, people age 12 and older who are moderate to severely immunocompromised and received their second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna at least 28 days or four weeks ago, 18-to-64-year-olds with any underlying medical condition who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago and anyone age 18 and older with occupations that elevate their risk of exposure who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months ago.
Anyone meeting the above qualifications may receive a booster by appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday in Edinburg and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Harlingen.

Anyone ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive a vaccination.
After scheduling an appointment, patients may receive a call from 1-833-888-2268 confirming their appointment.
COVID-19 vaccine cards will be required of all patients at the sites.
