UTRGV reported 103 new COVID-19 cases between Jan. 7 and 13, according to a university official.
Doug Arney, vice president for Administrative Support Services and chair of the Infectious Disease Committee at UTRGV, said among the 103 were 25 students, 68 staff and 10 faculty members.
UTRGV updates the number of cases reported for campus individuals weekly through the Confirmed Cases Dashboard. The numbers on the website are provided by the university COVID-19 Response Team.
Arney said two of the 25 students were quarantined in on-campus isolation housing the week of Jan. 7 to 13.
Students, faculty and staff can update their vaccination status in the UTRGV Vaccine Portal, according to UTRGV policies and processes.
Individuals can log in using their UTRGV credentials and update their status after every dose, including booster shots.

In Hidalgo and Cameron counties, COVID-19 cases continue to increase.
Hidalgo County reported an additional 119 cases last Thursday, raising its total to 128,297, according to its website.
As of last Thursday, the county reported 13 additional deaths, raising its death toll to 3,573.
Cameron County reported an additional 792 cases as of last Wednesday, raising its total to 62,218 cases.
As of last Wednesday, the county reported one additional death, raising the county’s death toll to 2,046.
