Saturday: New Mexico State 68 UTRGV 57
In the highly anticipated matchup it was the defending conference champs that beat UTRGV. Rickell Preston’s 17 points or Goff’s 15 was not enough to keep up with the Aggies.
Larry Tidwell’s team will be in action Thursday when they head on the road to play Utah Valley for the second time this season.
Men’s Basketball
Saturday: UTRGV 68 New Mexico State 92
Senior forward Shaq Hines scored a career-high 30 points on the road against New Mexico State. He made five three-pointers, also a personal best in four years with the program. Hines’ impressive night wasn’t for UTRGV to knock off defending WAC champions from New Mexico.
They will return home to host Utah Valley on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Men’s Tennis
Men’s Tennis rolled to a victory over Concordia University in Austin. UTRGV won the match 7-0.

Women’s won their second home tennis match of the Spring season. The team is now 2-3 overall. The team blew past their opponents 6-1. Noteworthy in the match was Reegan Greenwood moving up to sole possession of 7th in all-time career singles victories, she now has 45.
