A female UTRGV student was struck by a vehicle earlier this evening by the University Recreation Building and was transported to the Edinburg Regional Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, officials say.
Patrick Gonzales, assistant vice president of University Marketing and Communications, told The Rider the Edinburg Police Department received a call from University Recreation at 6:48 p.m. today.
“[The student] is in stable condition. [There were] no life-threatening injuries,” Gonzales said.
The Edinburg Police Department is handling the investigation, he said.
