Slackline

University Recreation  and the Student Union will host Slackline. UREC will also promote its outdoor trip program for UTRGV and Texas Southmost College students. The event will take place at 11 a.m. on the Student Union lawn on the Brownsville campus and at the same time Tuesday at the Chapel Lawn on the Edinburg campus. Mile-High Climb

University Recreation will conduct a mile-high climb challenge for all UREC members from 6 to 9 p.m. all week on the Edinburg campus. Members do not have a limit to the number of climbs and will be able to win a mile-high climb T-shirt. For more information, email

Mindful Monday

The Texas Southmost College Recreation Center will host Mindful Monday to bring awareness to several topics affecting mental health. Free massages will be offered to all TSC and UTRGV students, staff and faculty from noon to 2 p.m. in the Recreation Center lobby in Brownsville.

Tuesday

Body & Soul

Students can enjoy the pool and learn various yoga poses with a certified instructor from noon to 2 p.m. at the Texas Southmost College Recreation Center in Brownsville. Free juices, smoothies and henna tattoos will be offered.

Wednesday

Poker Tournament

Students can participate in the Student Union poker tournament for a chance to win V-Bucks. Free popcorn will be provided at 12:15 p.m. in the Game Room on the Edinburg campus. For more information, email studentunion@utrgv.edu or call 665-7898.

Billiards Tournament

National Video Game Day

Nail Painting

The Baptist Student Ministry will host free nail painting from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Library Courtyard A on the Edinburg campus. For more information, email tom@bsmatutrgv.org.

Flag Toss Fridays

University Recreation will host a Flag Toss from 3 to 7 p.m. every Friday in September on the Edinburg campus. Students will be able to participate and win prizes. For more information, email urec@utrgv.edu.
