The Korean International Student Society will conduct a general meeting from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. today and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Education Complex 2.102 on the Edinburg campus. CFTV meeting

Thriving Study Halls

The Women in STEM Programs organization will host a virtual study hall from 3:30 to 5 p.m. today via Zoom. Assignment assistance and studying motivation may be provided. RSVP is available on V Link.

Voter Registration Day

Civic Engagement Alliance will celebrate National Voter Registration Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union on the Brownsville campus and from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Student Union on the Edinburg campus. The group will conduct a voter registration drive and will distribute CEA swag.

Holy Mass

The Catholic Campus Ministry will conduct the sacrament of the Eucharist in Mass from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Newman Catholic Student Center, 1615 W. Kuhn St. in Edinburg.

Wednesday

Vaqueros on the Mic

The Campus Activities Board will host an open mic session for students from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union on the Edinburg campus and Thursday in the Student Union on the Brownsville campus. RSVP is available on V Link.

Coffee and Careers

German Club

The RGV German Club will meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Main Building 2.502 on the Brownsville campus to discuss important topics.

Graphic Thoughts Session

The UTRGV Library will host an open forum discussion of the comic and movie “Ghost in the Shell” from 5 to 6 p.m. via Zoom. RSVP is available on V Link.

Chess Night

The Chess Club will host chess night from 5 to 6 p.m. today in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Academic Building 2.207 on the Edinburg campus and from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Sabal Hall 2.102 on the Brownsville campus.

ASL Club Meeting

The ASL Club will host an online event to learn basic American Sign Language from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Students of all majors can expand their knowledge, play games and practice their skills at the event. RSVP is available on V Link.

Winds Concert

The Patron of the Arts will host the UTRGV Wind Orchestra and Symphonic Winds concert at 7 p.m. in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free. The concert is part of the Student Performance Series.

Free Lunch

The Baptist Student Ministry offers students free lunch at 12:30 p.m. every Thursday in the BSM building, located across from the UREC on the Edinburg campus.

Engaged Scholar & Artist Awards

The Office of Engaged Scholarship & Learning supports three awards, which provide students with the opportunity to fund undergraduate research, creative works and community engagement projects. Program applications close Thursday and can be found at utrgv.submittable.com/submit.

Career & Internship Expo

The Career Center invites job recruiters to its Virtual Career & Internship Expo, which is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Student Services Building 2.101 on the Edinburg campus and in Interdisciplinary Academic Building 1.105 on the Brownsville campus. The aim is to attract national and regional employers seeking to hire UTRGV students and alumni for internships and careers. Rehab Club

The Bilingual Education Student Organization will host a game night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. via online to play games, such as Pictionary and scavenger hunt.

Saturday

‘Tomás and The Library Lady’

The UTRGV Theatre Department will present “Tomás and The Library Lady” at 7 p.m. in the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre on the Edinburg campus and at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with an ASL interpretation. The play is based on the beloved children’s book by Pat Mora and celebrates the transformative power of imagination, books and reading on one small boy. Admission is free.

Sunday

Piano Concert

Shoko Kinsella, a piano professor in the School of Music, will present a recital at 3 p.m. in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free. The concert is part of the Faculty Artist Series.
