Bible Study 

Christians at RGV will host a Bible study today and Tuesday from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom and from noon to 1:45 p.m. in person in the Music, Science and Learning Center on the Brownsville campus. RSVP is available on V Link.

Recycle with CAB

The Campus Activities Board and the Civic Engagement Alliance will conduct a recycle event from noon to 4 p.m. at the Student Union Patio on the Edinburg campus and at the Student Union Lawn on the Brownsville campus. Students can stop by CAB’s recycling bin at the Student Union with recyclables to receive a free UTRGV tote bag.

Mindful Mondays

The University Recreation Center will host an informational session from noon to 2 p.m. at the  Texas Southmost College Recreation Center in Brownsville to discuss mental health awareness and promote activities to help improve students’ emotional wellness. 

IEW Opening Ceremony

The International Admissions & Student Services will conduct an International Education Week Opening Ceremony from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Ballroom on the Edinburg campus. 

K.I.S.S. Meeting

The Korean International Student Society will conduct a general meeting from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Education Complex 1.530 on the Edinburg campus. Students can interact with people who are passionate about Korean culture, music and language. RSVP is available on V Link.

Violin Recital

The Patron of the Arts will host a fall viola/violin recital featuring Associate Professor of Viola & Violin Joel Pagán’s students at 7 p.m. in the UTRGV Library Auditorium on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.

Wind Orchestra, Symphonic Winds & Concert Band

The Patron of the Arts will host a concert by the UTRGV Wind Orchestra, Symphonic Winds and the Concert Band at 7 p.m. in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center in Brownsville and at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.

Delight Ministries

Delight Ministries Brownsville, a Christ-centered community for college women, will host an event to learn more about Delight from 7:30 to 9 p.m. via Zoom. RSVP is available on V Link.

Kandi Bracelet-Making

The RGV German Club will meet from 2 to 3:15 p.m. in Interdisciplinary Academic Building 2.218 on the Brownsville campus.

Light up your Night

The Campus Activities Board will host a DIY lanterns event from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Student Union Lawn on the Brownsville campus.

Wednesday

Disney Photobooth

The Student Union will host a Disney photobooth at 10 a.m. in the Student Union commons on the Edinburg campus and at the same time Thursday in La Sala on the Brownsville campus to take pictures in the Disney-themed photobooth. 

Library Resources Discussion

The University Library will host an informational session from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. via Zoom to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.

Study Abroad Fair

The International Admissions & Student Services will host a study abroad fair from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Student Union on the Edinburg campus and the Main Courtyard on the Brownsville campus.

Pop-Up Thrift Shop

House of Fashion will host a pop-up thrift shop from noon to 2 p.m. at the Student Union Patio to fundraise for the organization’s fashion show.

Desserts from Around the World

International Admissions & Student Services will host a Desserts from Around the World event from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at The PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salón on the Brownsville campus and at the same time Thursday at the Ballroom on the Edinburg campus.

Scholar Program for Faculty

International Admissions & Student Services will host a Fulbright Scholar Program for faculty from 2 to 3 p.m. via Zoom. The Zoom meeting ID is 861 923 750 81.

The People Series

The Center for Diversity & Inclusion and DREAM Resource Center will host an educational series about the social justice work of Rigoberta Menchú, a Guatemalan indigenous leader and activist, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom. RSVP is available on V Link.

Coffee and Careers 

Students can ask the Career Center about career exploration, internship opportunities and resume reviews from 2:30 to 3 p.m. via Zoom. Register on Handshake or email careercenter@utrgv.edu.

Chess Night

The Chess Club will host chess night from 5 to 6 p.m. in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Academic Building 2.207 on the Edinburg campus and from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Sabal Hall 2.102 on the Brownsville campus.

Guitar Concert 

The Patron of the Arts will host a guitar ensemble at 7 p.m. in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.

International Learning 

International Admissions & Student Services will host a collaborative online international learning event from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. via Zoom. The Zoom meeting ID is 817 054 165 51.

ASL Club Meeting

The ASL Club will host an online event to learn basic American Sign Language from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Students of all majors can expand their knowledge, play games and practice their skills at the event. RSVP is available on V Link. 

Coffee and  Conversations

The Civic Engagement Alliance will host coffee and conversations from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Student Union 2.24 on the Brownsville campus and at Student Union 2.418 on the Edinburg campus to talk about Native American Heritage Month. Each student will receive a coffee along with a chance to win prizes including a $50 Grubhub card.

Piano Concert

Pianist Anastasia Dedik, will perform at 7 p.m. online via the Patron of the Arts YouTube Channel featuring works by Russian and Polish composers.

Ally Safe Zone Training

The Center for Diversity & Inclusion and DREAM Resource Center will host a training session from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. via Zoom. The training will include terminology, pronouns, sex and gender, inclusive language and campus and community resources to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. RSVP is available on V Link.

Watercolor 101

The Student Union will host a Watercolor 101 event at 1 p.m. via Zoom to learn to paint with watercolor. RSVP is available on V Link.

The Patron of the Arts will host a symphony orchestra concert at 7 p.m. in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus featuring journeys through the diverse cultures of Central and South America. Admission is free.
