The Student Union game rooms will open for the spring semester from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both campuses.
Edinburg Tabling
The Christians at RGV will meet from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Student Union Room 1.300 on the Edinburg campus.
Welcome Back Movies Day
The Campus Activities Board will show the film “Pitch Perfect” from noon to 2 p.m. in the Student Union’s Gran Salón on the Brownsville campus and from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Student Union Theater on the Edinburg campus.
Welcome Back Fiesta
The Student Union will host a welcome back party from noon to 2 p.m. in the Student Union Game Room on both campuses. There will be games, popcorn and karaoke to celebrate the start of the spring semester.
Wednesday
Al-Anon
The Collegiate Recovery Program will host a meeting for family and friends of those struggling with addiction from noon to 1 p.m. in the Student Union’s Salón Bougainvillea on the Brownsville campus.
Vaquero Block Party
Student Activities will host a party for students and faculty from noon to 2 p.m. in the Main Building and on the University Library lawn on the Brownsville campus and at the same time Thursday in the Quad on the Edinburg campus. Admission is free.
Hypnotist and Magician
Josh McVicar, a comedian, hypnotist and magician, will take center stage in Student Union Room 1.102 from 7 to 9 p.m. on the Edinburg campus. Free food will be provided.
Thursday
Free Lunch
The Baptist Student Ministry will serve free food from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Music, Science & Learning Center on the Brownsville campus.
Welcome Back Tacos
UTRGV Student Health will serve free tacos and iced coffee from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Main Building on the Brownsville campus.
UTRGV Women’s Basketball
The UTRGV Women’s Basketball Team will play against the University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the UTRGV Fieldhouse on the Edinburg campus.
Saturday
UTRGV Men’s Basketball
The UTRGV Men’s Basketball Team will play against the Tarleton State University Texans from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the UTRGV Fieldhouse on the Edinburg campus.
