Texas Rising Tabling

Texas Rising will host a weekly tabling event from 11 a.m. to noon on the University Library lawn on the Brownsville campus.

Sundaes on Mondays

The Student Union will serve free ice cream sundaes from noon to 1 p.m. on the Student Union veranda on the Brownsville campus.

Spring Into Wellness 

Talk About It UTRGV will host a sexual health workshop from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Student Academic Center Room 1.103 on the Edinburg campus.

Kenneth Saxon

 Kenneth Saxon, a pianist and professor of piano for the UTRGV School of Music, will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center in Brownsville. Admission is free. The concert is part of the Faculty Artist Series.

Tuesday

Young Life Night

Young Life College RGV will recruit new members from all college-age levels from 7 to 8 p.m. in Music, Science and Learning Center Room 1.105 on the Brownsville campus.

12 Hour Prayer Tent

The Baptist Student Ministry Brownsville will have a 12-hour prayer tent where students can come to reflect, meditate and pray from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the University Library lawn on the Brownsville campus. 

Earth Day Sale

The Anthropology Club will host an Earth Day sale with plant pots for anyone to come and paint them from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Student Union on the Edinburg campus. Crochet plushies, chips with cheese and tote bags will also be for sale.

Faculty Showcase Recital

The UTRGV School of Music will host a showcase recital featuring collaborative works by the Brownsville campus applied music faculty from 7 to 9 p.m. in Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center in Brownsville. Admission is free.

Wednesday

Free Lunch

The Catholic Student Association will serve a free lunch to all UTRGV students, faculty and staff from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Newman Student Catholic Center on the Edinburg campus. The event will take place every Wednesday until the end of the semester. 

Rhythm Night

The Student Union will host free line dance and cumbia classes from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Student Union La Sala on the Brownsville campus.

Book Swap

The Student Union will host a book swap from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses. Students must bring a book to trade and free books will also be available. The event will run through Friday.

Thursday

Trivia

The Student Union Game Rooms will host a trivia contest from 2 to 3 p.m. on the Edinburg and Brownsville campuses. Students must bring their ID to play and register on V Link or at the game rooms for the chance to win VBucks.

Friday

SGA Meeting 

The Student Government Association will host a general meeting from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Music, Science and Learning Center Room 1.111 on the Brownsville campus.

Saturday

Spring Concert

The Dance Department will host the UTRGV Dance Repertory Concert featuring the Dance Ensemble, the Ballet Company, and Ballet Español from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. General admission is $15, $10 for students and senior citizens, and $5 for children. 

Sunday

Community Trombone Choir

The UTRGV School of Music will host an evening of trombone and brass ensemble performed by local musicians from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center in Brownsville.
