The Happy Kitchen/La Cocina Alegre Cooking and Nutrition Program will offer six weeks of classes, emphasizing the selection and preparation of fresh seasonal foods that are nutritious, economical and delicious. Spanish classes start today and tomorrow from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Buena Vida Housing Development, 1419 E. Tyler St. in Brownsville. Hearing Aid Fundraiser

Pink Night
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority-Alpha Beta will host Pink Night with KDChi from 4 to 11 p.m. in the University Ballroom on the Edinburg campus. Guests will learn about breast cancer awareness and women’s health. There will be music, prizes, treats and dancing. Texas Secretary of State Carlos Cascos will visit UTRGV from 11 a.m. to noon at the Plains Capital Theater on the Edinburg campus. LTA Zumbathon
Zeta Rho Chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. will host LTA Zumbathon from 5 to 9 p.m. at the North Quad in Edinburg. The sorority wants to bring awareness to the Latin community about the “leading cause of death among Hispanics,” according to Cancer.org. The event is open to the public.
