Wellness Mondays

The UTRGV Counseling Center will host one-hour workshops on topics related to enhancing personal wellness, such as healthy relationships, stress management and beating the blues. Hold’em Poker Tournament

The Student Union will host a Texas Hold’em tournament at noon in the game room on the Edinburg campus. Students can play for free and get a chance to earn V-Bucks. For more information, call 665-7890.

Pumpkin Carving Contest

The Student Union will host a Pumpkin Carving Contest from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Student Union veranda on the Brownsville campus and at the same time Wednesday in the Student Union East Patio on the Edinburg campus. The top three finalists will get a chance to earn V-Bucks. For more information, call 665-7890.

Zombie Walk Food Drive

The fourth annual Zombie Walk, to benefit the UTRGV Food Pantry, will take place from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. in the ELABS 107 Studio Theatre on the Edinburg campus. Participants who donate five cans of food will receive a zombie makeover; those who donate seven cans will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win various items. CAVE Conference

The Office for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention will host the third annual Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation Conference from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the PlainsCapital Bank El Gran Salón on the Brownsville campus. Trombone concert

UTRGV Patron of the Arts will present trombonist Benjamin McIlwain from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center on the Brownsville campus. General admission is $10, and $5 for students and seniors. For more information, call 882-7025.

Zumbathon & Wellness Expo

UTRGV University Recreation will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Zumbathon & Wellness Expo from 6 to 8 p.m. in the UREC on the Edinburg campus. For more information, call 665-7808.
