Who is your favorite athlete? “A guy who plays for the national volleyball team in Italy [Ivan Zaytsev] because he plays his way, and that really motivates me to play my way.”
Who is your role model? “I would say my dad because whenever a challenge comes to him, he never quits. He always fights to get that challenge done.”
What was the best advice you’ve been given and by whom? “My uncle said to always remember where you came from.”
When did you begin playing volleyball, and why? “My mom and dad are actually volleyball coaches, so I was practically living in the gym, like from when I was born to now.”
What’s your favorite place to hang out on campus? “Probably just outside. I don’t have a specific place, but I think the campus is really beautiful.”
What are your academic goals? “To get an A in each class.”
How do you feel about being part of this team? “I feel really lucky and blessed to be a part of this team; to be able to play with these girls is amazing.”
What are your personal goals for this season? “My personal goals are to get better on each, like blocking, spiking, receiving. To get one step better.”
