Q: What are your career goals?
A: “Hopefully, I can go professional after this. I just want to play soccer for as long as I can, to be honest. I played for a university at home, so I studied for three years before coming here. I played soccer for them. I was on a scholarship there with the University of Otago [in New Zealand]. And then I just wanted to keep playing.”
Q: What movies or shows do you like?
A: “I don’t actually have a lot of time anymore to watch them, but I really liked ‘Prodigal Son,’ I liked ‘Killing Eve,’ ‘Love Island’ is good as well. There’s an Australian one and there’s an American one as well. It’s like a reality TV show. It’s just basically gossip the whole time.”
Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: “Honestly, I like a little bit of everything. I’m not very fussy. Like, I don’t have a set genre. Honestly, just a little bit of everything. My playlist is a little bit of everything. … I’ll listen to more upbeat music, I guess you could say, like, pregame kind of vibes to get you pumped up.”
Q: Who is one of your role models?
A: “I’d probably say my grandfather was one of my role models. He told me, ‘Do everything once, and do it right,’ and always believe in myself. He’d be really proud of where I am at the moment, actually. A lot of it was [because] he told me I could do it.”
Q: What has been your proudest moment?
A: “My proudest moment was probably the goal against [Texas A&M] Corpus [Christi]. That was a nice goal.”
Q: Do you have any fun facts about yourself?
A: “I have an identical twin sister.”
Q: Does she play soccer too?
A: “She did, she doesn’t anymore. This is the longest I’ve been apart from her.”
