Q: What do you do for fun outside of golf?

A: “I love going to the [UREC] and working out and playing volleyball and just hanging out with my friends, playing other sports. I’ve been playing tennis and basketball. I’ve been going for runs, occasionally.”

Q: What movies or shows do you like?

A: “I don’t really watch any shows or movies, but I really enjoyed watching the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. And just watching YouTube. The ‘Sidemen,’ just, like, the UK people.”

Q: What kind of music do you like?

A: “I honestly enjoy all genres. My team has gotten me into listening to country music last semester. But I enjoy listening to pop and rap. A1 x J1 and Eminem.”

Q: Who is one of your role models?

A: “Tiger Woods. … Someone in my life would be my dad. My dad’s real hard-working. So, he’s instilled in me, like, working hard and enjoying the process of getting better, achieving goals.”

Q: What motivates you?

A: “Seeing people around me do well, and I want to improve myself and be able to see what they’re achieving.”

Q: Would you want to keep playing golf or do something with kinesiology?

A:. “I kind of want to work in a school. So, it could be being a college golf coach, or working as a professor or teacher. If I do become insanely good in golf one day, I’ll consider it.”

Q: What has been your proudest moment?

A: “OK, so when I just started out, I played in a net competition. I shot six under my handicap, in Auckland, New Zealand. I think I was 11 or 12.”

Q: What do you like about UTRGV?

A: “I really enjoyed the team chemistry and being able to hang out with everyone and the team and meeting a lot of new people around school and campus.”
