Q: What do you do for fun outside of basketball?
A: “I like to relax. I like to do nothing. I like to read, bake and watch TV. I’m a big TV watcher. [I] binge watch shows and movies.”
Q: What movies or shows do you like?
A: “I’m rewatching ‘Money Heist.’ I love ‘Money Heist.’ [It] really just kind of depends on show recommendations I get. I’ll usually check out, like, at least a couple episodes. I kinda started ‘American Horror Story’ [and] ‘Scream Queen.’”
Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: “I kind of like all but probably pop music. I’m a big Taylor Swift fan, which people will laugh at, but I think she’s awesome. I do like rap. I do like country so, kind of, a little bit of everything, just depending what mood I’m in.”
Q: What do you like about the Rio Grande Valley?
A: “Everyone is really nice. I feel like no matter where I go, people are very friendly and very nice. I would say the weather. It gets a little hot sometimes, but other than that, it’s mostly nice year-round. Being able to play here and being close to my family is a big bonus, so that’s huge.”
Q: Who is one of your role models?
A: “I think, more so, it’s just the influence of the people I’m around. Surrounding myself with good people, I don’t know if there’s just one certain person.”
Q: Would you want to keep playing or do something with your degree?
A:. “I honestly have no idea where the future will lead me. I thought about getting into coaching, but now I’m not sure. I don’t really know. We’ll just see where life takes me.”
Q: What are some of your personal goals?
A: “[For] the season, I just really want to help my team win. I know that’s not necessarily personal but, like, it is because I can do my part to help the team win, you know? I obviously want to play well, but, again, at the end of the day, it’s just for the team to win. … Do what I can to help us win, be a good leader, be a good teammate and all that stuff.”
Q: Do you have any fun facts about yourself?
A: “Peanut M&M’s are the best M&M’s.”
