Krystal Dule is an economics junior from Pove Del Grappa, Italy, who plays for the UTRGV Women’s Tennis Team.
Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
A: “I play the flute.”
Q: Who or what got you started in tennis?
A: “All my classmates were playing volleyball and I wanted to do something else. My brother had just started playing [tennis] for one year and he insisted that I would start. Once I started at the beginning, I immediately liked it.”
Q: Who’s been your biggest inspiration or role model?
A: “I would say Novak Djokovic.”
Q: What kind of music do you like to listen to?
A: “Depends. Sometimes I listen to reggaeton or Italian rap music.”
Q: Any shows or movies you like to watch?
A: “I just finished watching ‘The Gentleman’ on Netflix. It’s a TV show and I really liked it.”
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: “I like reading books or listening to music or hanging out with my friends.”
Q: What is your biggest motivation?
A: “I just wanna step into the court and give 100% for both myself and the team. I just know that my parents have worked so hard for me during this year, so I’m gonna want to give everything I have also for them.”
Q: What do you like the most about UTRGV?
A: “I like the campus. … I just transferred from another university, and I like the location and the people on the team and the culture in general.”
Q: What are your biggest goals?
A: “My biggest goal is to get a master’s in economics and after that, try to go and play professional tennis.”
