Tuesday ends the drought; the NBA is back and starting with the Pelicans-Raptors game at 7 p.m., then LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard go head-to-head as the L.A. Clippers play the Lakers at 9:30 p.m.
The New Orleans Pelicans would have been a game to watch, but Zion Williamson recently suffered a knee injury and will be out for weeks. I, along with many others, was excited to see Zion’s NBA debut, but it will have to wait. And, seeing as Zion is the future of the Pelicans, I don’t see them rushing to get him back on the court.
As far as the Raptors go, I don’t see them being a great team, or even a good team this year. They will make the playoffs simply because they’re in the East, but a first- or second-round exit will end their season.
With that being said, I don’t think the Pelicans-Raptors game will be a great game, but the Battle of LA may be one of the season’s best games. It could be the only time both teams will face off with injury-free rosters this season.
I hope you’re as excited as I am because this NBA season will be one for the books.
