Books without borders

Authors Anne Estevis and Richard Sanchez, both with La Nopalera Press, speak with an attendee about their books during the Sin Fronteras Independent Book Festival held Saturday in downtown Brownsville. Estevis displayed her latest novel, “Goat Creek Crossing,” and Sanchez showcased his short story and essay collections, “The Story Teller” and “The Jelly Jar,” during the event. The book festival was in collaboration with the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, the City of Brownsville, the Coalition of New Chicanx Artists (CONCA) and the UTRGV Mexican American Studies Program.
