The Rock of Ages Young Adults group meets from noon to 5 p.m. every Tuesday to pray for the campus community. Eduardo Cortez/THE RIDER Students pray outside the University Library Oct. 10. “Monday, Jan. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m., was our first evangelism with a group from California called the Circuit Riders,” said Daniel Varela Jr., leader of the Rock of Ages Young Adults group on the Edinburg campus. Inspired by a college event called “Carry the Love,” ROA Young Adults has been present on campus to pray and evangelize the campus community. “We saw how a simple conversation or prayer with students fills them with so much hope,” Varela said.
