Name: Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), The Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business at Edinburg.
Purpose: The nonprofit student organization provides students and the community with an educational and social outlet promoting academic excellence, career readiness, student engagement, research, leadership, networking skills, as well as exposure to the accounting and financial professions. It is dedicated to promoting careers in assurance, consulting, IT auditing and fraud examination.

Awards: Received 2017 Gold Student Award of Excellence, New Organization of the Year and Outstanding Campus Program/Event in the Regional Leadership Conference during the 2016-2017 school year.
Meetings: 12:15 to 1:10 p.m. Thursdays in Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship 110 on the Edinburg campus.
Membership requirements: Local membership is $20 and national membership is $40, which includes an IMA T-shirt and discounts for the national conference.
