Art Exhibit

The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art will host the opening of the “Zapotec Legacy-Three generations of Alebrijes Artistry” exhibit Wednesday in the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art located at 660 E. Ringgold St. The exhibit will feature Oaxacan culture through mixed-media pieces. Admission is free.

Dia de los Muertos 

The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art will host Fiesta de Vida: A Preview Event from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art located at 660 E. Ringgold St. The event will feature the unveiling of the 2024 print by Jesse Burciaga and a guided trip to the Old City Cemetery. RSVP required.

Senior Project Showcase

The UTRGV Dance Department will host the Senior Project Showcase titled “Whirlwind of Emotion” at 7:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday in the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex on the Edinburg campus. General admission is $10 and $5 for UTRGV students.

Faculty Artist Series: Piano

UTRGV Arts will host a piano recital, as part of the Faculty Artist Series, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center located at 90 Taylor Ave. in Brownsville. Professor Juan Pablo Andrade will perform pieces from Latin American composers Schumann, Rachmaninoff and Chopin.
