I hate driving. Usually, it is the only thing I don’t look forward to when I wake up in the morning. I don’t understand how some people like driving. I understand that the thrill excites some people, but not me.
I considered it a massive responsibility, and I don’t want to have that. I can take other responsibilities, such as paying the bills, cleaning the house, cooking, etc., but not that. No, thank you, I prefer being the passenger in the car and not having to worry about all the troubles that come from driving.
Apart from responsibility, my knee hurts whenever I drive. I know that it’s because the seat is not positioned right, yet I’ve tried to adjust it so many times before, and it never feels comfortable.
I’m not sure if maybe my legs are not proportioned right to my arms, but that makes it sound like I’m a T. rex trying to reach the steering wheel. Until I resolve that, I will have one good reason for throwing hate to driving.
Also, what’s up with drivers? I can quickly recognize who wants to turn to the right or left or who is scared of driving because it shows. Sometimes, these drivers go extremely slow when the speed limit is 45 mph. Why do y’all have to go at 30 when it’s 45? If you want to turn around, turn on the lights, so I’ll know that you’re turning. Some people don’t even do that.
From one moment to the next, they’re turning and I am just confused. Where does that come from? Y’all know that some people are not paying attention when they drive, right? Some drivers are just texting the whole time they’re driving.
If someone like that is behind a person who doesn’t signal others that they’ll turn, an accident could happen. I am scared of one day seeing something like that.
There are also the people opposite from the slow ones. The speed limit might be 45 mph, and they want to go at 60 mph. Those drivers are the ones who don’t stop until they’re an inch distance from the car in front. They don’t fear anyone or anything on the road.
Usually, these drivers are the ones who change from lane to lane when there’s really no space for their car on the lanes. They go for it without even thinking if there’s the chance of moving. I guess there’s no tomorrow for them.
Now, traffic. I hate it so much. The time that I take coming from my house to the university when there’s not much traffic is around 45 to 50 minutes. However, when there’s traffic, it’s always more than that. Plus, there is always someone in traffic who is, again, texting and doesn’t pay attention to when traffic moves.
I know that I shouldn’t be saying all of this because many people come to school from farther away cities. I’m sorry, I really hate driving.
I am not saying I am the perfect driver, but at least I try to pay attention to what’s happening in my surroundings. If I ever have the opportunity, I will hire a chauffeur, so I won’t have to worry about all of this myself.
