The No. 2 seed UTRGV Men’s Soccer Team has qualified for the WAC Tournament quarterfinal round. The Vaqueros will face No. 7 seed University of Nevada, Las Vegas at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Championship Field in Seattle, Wash.
UTRGV advanced to the WAC Tournament after defeating Incarnate Word University 3-0 last Saturday at the UTRGV Soccer and Track & Field Complex in Edinburg.
The Vaqueros finished the regular season with an overall record of 13-5 and 8-3 in the WAC. Those interested in viewing the game may do so online at www.wacdigitalnetwork.com.
The winner of the quarterfinal game will advance to the semifinals and play against the winner of the match between No. 6 seed San Jose State University and No. 3 Seattle University. The semifinals will take place at 8 p.m. Friday at Championship Field.
