Three, two, one, Happy New Year!
New year, new me like we all say when the countdown ends.
Everyone knows the last 10 seconds of the year feel like joy, happy tears and a fresh start.
We start thinking about the changes we want to do for the new year and the new things we want to try.
All the resolutions you had for the past year might actually come true because you are certain that this is your year.
We are wired to think that each year that passes we have to change things about ourselves, but it’s not true.
I believe the new year is an opportunity for me to think about how the year started, the highs and lows I went through and how much I grew from them.
It’s crazy to think how fast time goes by and that by the end of the year you have new people in your life, new clothes, new feelings and new memories.
Resolutions don’t have to be a big thing each year. It can be as simple as drinking more water.
So for 2024, my New Year’s resolution is to capture all the small or big moments I experience.
This is my first time creating one. It’s fun to see it coming together.
Add pictures, tickets, receipts, or any small and important thing you can collect from those moments you want to remember.
Stick them into a journal and write your feelings or any details you want to add to it, it doesn’t have to be pretty.
It is such a fun way to keep track of trips and outings with friends. You get to have a long-term way of remembering your fun memories.
Each year, I want to be able to go back and see all the memories I made with friends and family.
I think it would be amazing to save all these moments in these notebooks and in the future show my children how my life was in college and the memories I made with the people I love.
Another resolution I have is to travel more, even if it’s just a small road trip. I want to experience new places.
Getting to travel to those places is a way of growing and learning new things.
For 2024, don’t forget to enjoy even the smallest things. Take a lot of pictures and keep those memories forever.
