March 28
11:20 a.m.: A student reported her vehicle was struck while it was parked unattended in Lot E19 and sustained visible damage to the left rear bumper. The case is under investigation.
4:21 p.m.: A UTRGV officer and detective assisted Edinburg Police detectives in serving arrest warrants on a non-affiliate who was residing with a student at the Village Apartments on the Edinburg campus. The warrants were for criminal mischief, theft and unlawful restraint. She was located and detained by the Edinburg Police Department. UTRGV Housing and Residence Life was notified of the incident and the non-affiliate was issued a criminal trespass warning for all UTRGV properties.
March 29
9:17 a.m.: A student reported a minor traffic accident in Lot E9. No injuries were reported.
12:06 p.m.: Officers responded to Lot E34 in reference to a staff member experiencing chest pains. She requested emergency medical services and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
2:15 p.m.: A staff member reported two suspicious men selling bread on the third floor of the Clinical Education Building on the Harlingen campus. The officer was not able to locate the men in the building.
April 2
3:11 p.m.: An officer responded to Lot E9 in reference to a minor vehicle collision. A student driving a vehicle backed without safety and struck a university vehicle driven by a staff member. No injuries were reported and the vehicles sustained minor damage.
7:45 p.m.: A student reported another student made her feel uncomfortable by sometimes following her and attempting to locate her on campus. She also stated he attempted to message her via social media and was advised to notify him that his contact was unwanted.
10:26 p.m.: A student reported losing a set of personal keys while at the University Recreation Center on the Edinburg campus.
11:26 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a student who suffered a seizure at the Liberal Arts Building South on the Edinburg campus. Hidalgo County emergency medical services arrived on the scene and transported her to a local hospital for further evaluation.
