Oct. 15
11:33 a.m.: A Parking and Transportation Services staff member reported a minor accident involving a UTRGV shuttle bus that occurred Oct. 12 in Pharr. Three unidentified passengers were riding the bus, but no injuries were reported, only damage to the vehicle. An accident report was generated with the Pharr Police Department.
3:21 p.m.: A student reported that her vehicle’s rear window was shattered in Lot E32 on the Edinburg campus. An officer reviewed video footage and observed a Facilities Services employee trimming grass in close proximity to her vehicle.
Oct. 16
1:47 p.m.: A student reported a male student yelled profanities at her while in class in the Mathematics & General Classrooms Building on the Edinburg campus. The report was referred to UTRGV Student Rights and Responsibilities for further review.
3:42 p.m.: A student reported that his vehicle was burglarized while it was parked unattended in Lot B12 on the Brownsville campus. The incident occurred between 1 and 3 p.m. the same day. A backpack with a laptop was stolen. The vehicle showed no signs of forced entry.
Oct. 17
1:37 p.m.: A staff member reported losing a university-issued credit card on the Edinburg campus between Oct. 8 and 13. The credit card has been deactivated.
1:44 p.m.: A Facilities Services employee reported damaging a rear window on a parked unattended vehicle while trimming grass in Lot E23 on the Edinburg campus. The owner was contacted to make arrangements for the repair.
Oct. 18
10:51 a.m.: A student reported her cell phone was stolen while it was left unattended in the Student Academic Center on the Edinburg campus. The case is under investigation.
2:20 p.m.: An officer was dispatched in reference to a student having a seizure in Liberal Arts Building South on the Edinburg campus. The student declined emergency medical services.
Oct. 20
10 p.m.: A Residence Life staff member reported an odor of marijuana at Unity Hall on the Edinburg campus. The incident was referred to UTRGV Student Rights and Responsibilities for further review.
Oct. 21
10:40 a.m.: A non-affiliated woman was issued a criminal trespass warning for UTRGV properties in the 900 block of West Van Week Street on the Edinburg campus. She was called in as a suspicious person by the Edinburg Police Department. She left the campus without incident.
