Deepa Acharya, a disaster studies international graduate student and research assistant, gives a speech earlier today after receiving this year’s Outstanding International Female Student award and a $1,000 scholarship during the International Women’s Day celebration in Salón Cassia on the Brownsville campus. The reception celebrating International Women’s Day honored Sylvia Robles (center) for receiving the Outstanding International Female Faculty recognition for 2020. Robles is a lecturer in the Robert C. Vackar College of Business & Entrepreneurship. The event took place earlier today in Salón Cassia on the Brownsville campus.
