Two VOLT golf carts wait in traffic Thursday to pick up and drop off students around campus. The VOLT system has three circuits in Edinburg and two on the Brownsville campus. The VOLT operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and takes specific routes with designated stops. The VOLT follows three circuits on the Edinburg campus and two on the Brownsville campus. A live map of current locations of vehicles en route is provided by Ride Systems, a mobile app, to help students track the vehicles provided by Parking and Transportation Services.
