Parking and Transportation Services driver Jonathan Ramirez waits for passengers last Friday in front of Main Building on the Brownsville campus. The VOLT operates from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and takes specific routes with designated stops. The VOLT follows three circuits on the Edinburg campus and two on the Brownsville campus. A live map of current locations of vehicles en route is provided by Ride Systems, a mobile app, to help students track the vehicles provided by Parking and Transportation Services. The new VOLT transports students from the parking lots to buildings on campus. The system is now running on both campuses from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a five-minute frequency to each stop. FERNANDO RAMIREZ/THE RIDER
