Times announced for commencement ceremonies

Times and dates for Spring 2022 commencement were announced last week in a campuswide email.

As previously reported by The Rider, the Brownsville ceremonies for Spring 2022 graduates are scheduled for May 13 on the Library Main Lawn.

For those graduating in Edinburg, the ceremonies are scheduled for May 14 in the Bert Ogden Arena.

In a campuswide email sent last Wednesday by UTRGV Announcements, the commencement schedule for those graduating on the Brownsville campus is as follows:

Beginning at 4  p.m.:

–College of Fine Arts

–College of Engineering and Computer Science

–College of Education and P-16 Integration

–Mathematics and Science Academy

–College of Sciences

–Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship  

Beginning at 7 p.m.:

–School of Medicine (Bioethics)

–School of Nursing

–School of Social Work

–College of Health Professions

–College of Liberal Arts 

The commencement schedule for those graduating in Edinburg is as follows:

Beginning at 8 a.m.:

–College of Fine Arts

–College of Liberal Arts

Beginning at noon:

–Mathematics and Science Academy

–College of Sciences

–College of Education and P-16 Integration

Beginning at 3:30 p.m.:

–School of Medicine (Bioethics)

–School of Nursing

–School of Social Work

–College of Health Professions

Beginning at 7 p.m.:

–College of Engineering and Computer Science

–Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship  

In an interview with The Rider at the beginning of April, UTRGV Registrar Sofia Almeda said 2,500 graduating students are expected to attend the ceremonies.
