Q: How was your experience on the first day of school?
“It was nice. It was just, like, the parking lot was, like, really, really packed. So, like, 20 minutes to get some parking space. And then it was really, really hot. But overall, like, it was pretty chill.”
“So, today was actually pretty crazy because I live in Edinburg and I had classes here in Brownsville at 9:30. So I missed the bus and I had to come here and drive. And I also couldn’t find parking and I knew where my classes were, but I was kind of lost. It was my first time in campus here in Brownsville. So, it was pretty, you know, kind of hectic. But the classes [were] pretty good. Professors were really nice and they were kind of, like, lenient with the first day of class. And I was late, so I had to tell them that I am from Edinburg. So, but, they were pretty fun and exciting.”
“My first day was pretty interesting. I met some people that had the same interests as me, and I felt more connected than I have in a while. I’m very excited to see where my classes take me and I’m set to have a great year.”
“So the first day of school was a little hectic, starting off with the parking. But overall it was really good. It was a lot of walking, but all my classes were very interesting and they were fun. And especially the professors, they made it very–they were, they’re very lenient. And they just made me feel very welcome.”
“My first day of school, I guess it was pretty hectic. I’m from the Edinburg campus. I came to [Brownsville] at 7:30ish and I couldn’t get to my classes because traffic was pretty crazy. So I couldn’t get to my classes till I think around 8:15. So that’s how much traffic was packed. But other than that, I think I had fun with my classes. It was very back to back, but it was very refreshing to go back into university.”
