Electrical engineering sophomore Carlos Castillo registers to vote Tuesday at the “Game Day” voter registration drive held by UTRGV’s Civic Engagement Alliance (CEA) on the Brownsville campus. Last Thursday was the deadline to register to vote for the May 7 “statewide Constitutional Amendment election, as well as local elections for municipalities, school districts and other local entities holding elections,” according to the Texas Secretary of State website.

UTRGV’s CEA conducted “Game Day,” a voter registration drive last Tuesday in the Courtyard on the Brownsville campus and Wednesday in the Chapel Lawn on the Edinburg campus in light of the last day to register to vote, April 7, to be eligible “to vote in the May 7 statewide Constitutional Amendment election, as well as local elections for municipalities, school districts and other local entities holding elections,” according to the Texas Secretary of State website.
